Pond Cleaning
From time to time, garden ponds require a complete cleanout. This is usually due to a build-up of silt, leaf fall and blanketweed over the years. Our staff are equipped with holding tanks, aeration equipment, pressure washers and pumps, ensuring prompt reliable service.
A typical pond clean lasts between 2-6 hours depending on the size of the pond. Our trained staff carefully remove plants, fish and aquatic life, and house them in temporary storage tanks during the work.
Dirty water is then removed from the pond along with silt that builds upon the pond base. This makes ideal fertiliser and we usually recommend placing it around the borders of the garden with the pond water to aid plant growth.
Once all silt has been removed we then pressure wash clean the pond liner and any ornaments and stone to leave the pond looking like new!
Whilst the pond is then filled with clean dechlorinated water, we carry out any necessary maintenance including pump and filter servicing and any repairs. The fish are acclimatised back into the pond and plants are replanted as necessary.
